Benalmadena - Costa Del Sol

Benalmádena, a privileged hillock rising above the sea. A watchtower overlooking the Mediterranean. An Arab-sounding name: Benalmádena. A town dipping its feet into the sea and warming its body on the sand. A city of winding streets and hustling ports, with Africa looming on the horizon. Benalmádena Pueblo. Benalmádena Costa. Arroyo de la Miel. A town to be discovered. A town to visit once and again.
When you come to Plaza España you will see one of the symbols of town: La Niña de Benalmádena (The Girl of Benalmádena): a bronze sculpture in a fountain. This lovely card was sent to me by Belem.

Mammoth Hot Springs at the Yellowstone National Park

Travertine Terraces are seen at Mammoth Hot Springs in the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Travertine is a form of calcium carbonate that is dissolved from limestone beneath the ground, and is then carried to the surface by hot water. The colours represent a variety of bacterial algae that survive at various temperatures. Card was sent to me by Stephanie.

Memphis

Greetings from Memphis – home of Elvis, FedEx, St. Jude, barbeque, Blues Music, and Graceland Mansion. So says Ron, and this I agree sums up what everyone loves about Memphis. It is an unforgettable experience. The river steamboat still operates up and down the Mississippi River, reminding one of Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
